Sessions

We are a charity run by a management committee of volunteer parents, four fantastic Early Years Practitioners and a Playgroup Manager. All our staff are experienced, qualified and undertake Continuous Professional Learning.

Our aim is provide our children with the best possible early years experience in an informal, fun way by learning through play. We are open between 8.45am and 3.15pm for part time and full time sessions.

Our sessions are usually run in our outdoor environment so children should be dressed appropriately for the weather.

We have fun while learning with

Physical Skills

Imaginative Play & Role Playing
Arts and Crafts
Messy Play with water, sandpits, shaving foam!

Constructive Play
Quiet areas with comfy seating for reading books

We also have a well equipped indoor playroom with a whole array of fun things to do including dressing up with our clothes and accessories, kitchen and shopping fun, quiet area, puzzles, games, writing, craft and drawing materials, small playsets and more!

We can use the large hall with lots of space for running, climbing, jumping and developing our physical skills. We also enjoy dancing, singing and moving to music.

With a park nearby, we can visit and explore our local community and environment. We go for walks and visits to local cafes, shops, businesses and have on occasion, been on bus trips to the library.

Snack (and lunch, if eligible) - children are fully involved in organising, preparing and serving their healthy snack in our child-friendly kitchen area where appropriate. Our snacks and lunches are prepared using fresh ingredients. The children enjoy occasional baking and making their own playdough.

Our sessions are designed to meet the needs of individual children under both local and national standards. The GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child) principles underpin our programme delivery. We use the guidance within Realising The Ambition and Curriculum for Excellence and treat your child sensitively and with respect, support and encouragement.
